This conversion commenced in November 2006. Completed on time and to the budget, six weeks start to finish

My wife and I decided to choose P & R -(now 'R & B')- carpentry construction Ltd because we were very impressed with work they had previously done, and their quote was by far the most competitive.

Andy came to see us before the build to take us through what was going to happen during the six weeks of the job. He was very approachable, and didn’t mind answering anything we had to ask, no matter how basic or stupid!

The loft conversion began on schedule and started to go up fast. We were amazed at the amount that was done by Ben and Andy in such a short space of time. Throughout the job the house was left very tidy (must be a first for builders!) and we found them very good houseguests.

They would often explain what was happening and always talked us through things when we had decisions to make, which made us feel a part of what was happening. We felt comfortable enough to ask for small changes to be made, which allowed us to incorporate our own ideas into the project.

The job stayed on schedule throughout, and they cleaned up and packed away on the day quoted (another first for builders).
We were very impressed with the standard of finish throughout, particularly the plastering and woodwork, which included a beautiful staircase and banister.

Before the conversion began, we were picturing at least eight weeks of hell in front of us, but thanks to Ben and Andy’s hard work and excellent project management just six short weeks flew by virtually stress-free (for us at least!).

Next time we need any more work done, we will definitely be contacting P&R.
